Guarantee your childs place by applying now!
Little Ducklings Pre-school caters for parents within the local area and seeks to give children a place where they can feel safe and learn. We seek to give parents what they want: this is to pay for the hours their child actually attends with no charges for sick days or holidays taken in term time.
We are located in a detached old school building with both a grassed play area and a playground set opposite the church in Barnwell. The building comprises 2 large activity rooms, library and messy area, entrance hall, cloakroom and toilets, kitchen and dining room.
There is a large fully-enclosed garden, mainly laid to lawn, which enables children to get fresh air, experience changing weather conditions, help with gardening, growing their own vegetables and extend their physical development.
The location is safe and our environment inside the school building and play areas are secure and child-friendly.
Our aim is to provide high quality, Early Years education and care based on the National Curriculum Foundation stage for Early years children. Our facility serves children from 2 to 5 years of age.
Apply before your child is 2. We keep a list of "rising 2's" ready to allow entry when they reach that age. We offer safe, secure childcare with "key-worker" consideration for each child, an essential to providing quality experience. Our staff ensure that every child has appropriate supervision and care. Each child is allocated a "key-worker" to act as a contact for parents. Children gain confidence and contentment, knowing there is someone on the staff who knows them as a individual right from the start. Children are valued and encouraged to socialise while playing and learning.
Our syllabus is based on the new Early Years Foundation Stage 2012 statutory guidance, with a progress check at aged 2. The document affects how pre-schools support children they care for. For more details please ask our staff.
